Network Engineering and Security
The Network Engineering and Security group is responsible for the
wired (Ethernet) network infrastructure,
the campus wireless network,
network security,
basic network services such as DHCP, the Domain Name System servers, and
remote access, including the campus connections to external networks and
VPN.
The NESG maintains and enforces a number of
network policies.
We have recently implemented IP multicast throughout the wired network
infrastructure. If you would like to use multicast to support an application,
please contact ipmaster@case.edu with
the details.
